The name of the game is derived from the term grand theft auto which is the police code for motor vehicle theft. Synopsis and Features

Grand Theft Auto V is set in the present day time frame post the economic bubble burst when many people are struggling to make ends meet. As always a brilliant city has been recreated and this time the game is set in thewonderful Los Santos that is surrounded by the beautiful hills, countryside and beaches. Rockstar has taken this game to the next level by making it the largest and most ambitious game they have created. As with the previous versions of the game, the motive of the game is to become the head boss by accumulating wealth and power by completing missions that will involve you taking out your rivals and run your empire like a true mafia lord.

Rockstar has given you the opportunity to play one of three protagonist in GTA V. Michael is a retired street smart criminal who made his mark and now looking to start a new empire at a much more relaxed pace. The next character is Trever Philips who is a valiant war veteran and an ex-military pilot, whose many years of military action has left him with wild manic tendencies. Or choose Franklin, a known gang banger who works as a repo-man living in a world that has changed and left him bitter. Unlike other games where you complete the game with the single character you chose, all three characters are playable and interchangeable during the course of the game. The transition between characters is smooth and does not create any issues with the story or game play. In some missions you will even have to switch between characters as they work together to complete the objective.

Grand Theft Auto has entered a bold new era in terms of storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayeraction. The game is still revolves around the pursuit of power, money and controlling the most territory. As part of the game, you are able to engage the characters in activities such as jet skiing, tennis, golf, scuba diving and yoga. Both single player and multiplayer modes are available in this game. A host of other new features will be revealed by Rockstar and the game developers as the game approaches its release date.
